You’re Invited to the 2008 Regional
Forums
What is a Regional Forum?
Regional Forums are opportunities for communities to get equipped with
information and tools needed to collaboratively create change at local,
regional, and state levels.
Texans Standing Tall is partnering with community coalitions and
organizations across the state to
hold Regional Forums.
The Forums are focused on preventing youth alcohol use
with the ultimate goal of reducing youth substance abuse.
Why focus on alcohol?
Alcohol is the number one drug of choice for youth. Research shows that
youth that are heavy drinkers are more likely to use illicit drugs.
Preventing youth alcohol use is a step in preventing other substance
abuse.
How do I register?
Attendance
is FREE but space is limited.
Please register at
www.TexansStandingTall.org
to attend the Forum of your choice. Once registered you will receive
additional information on the specific Regional Forum you’ve chosen.
What can I expect?
You will be equipped with tools, information, and resources for creating
community change to prevent youth alcohol use.
