Do or someone you know depend on chemicals to have fun?

What happens after the chemical effect wears off?

The DSM IV R classifies addiction or chemical dependency as

three or more of the following in 12 months.

 

1.Tolerance- Need for more or less effect with same amount

2.Withdrawal- Withdrawal symptoms or used to avoid withdrawal

3.Larger mounts or longer period of time than was intended

4.Persistent desire or unsuccessful efforts to quit

5.A great deal of time is spent obtaining, using, or recovering from the effects

6.Important activities are given up

7.Continued use despite knowing negative consequences
